OTT QA Lead
• Create and execute test plans for new products and features and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Record all test results and provide a high-level summary of test coverage and results.
• Troubleshoot issues down to the root cause and provide detailed bug reports.
• Test compatibility with audio / video devices, Wi-Fi routers, and audio / video streaming file types.
• Own and drive to completion features, products, and devices.
• Work on cross functional teams with QA, hardware, and firmware development teams.
• Work directly with external partners such as SoC vendors and partner device manufacturers.
• 7-10 years of hands-on experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience writing and executing QA test plans for consumer electronics products.
• Experience with smart TVs, consumer audio/video devices, set-top boxes, and TV remote controllers.
• Experience with audio/video streaming and audio/video codecs (HLS, MP4, MKV, smooth streaming, etc., ...)
• Experience with wired and wireless home networking.
• Experience with Python or equivalent language in developing automated tests to validate products.
• Experience formulating test strategy, designing test cases and modifying/executing regression test scripts.
• Experience with Linux.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with a variety of testing techniques.
• Experience generating and presenting quantitative reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Possess good technical communication and team building skills.
