Java Developer
. BS Degree in Computer Science or applicable programming area of study
. 5 to 7 years prior work experience working with an application development organization; must demonstrate experience delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation3+ years in web services development - Preferably Java.
. Experience in .NET is nice to have but not replacement for Java.
. Proficiency in Analysis, Design, Build, and Deployment of Java applications.
. Experience developing solutions within an Application Container; experience developing Java services; web services is a plus.
. Strong fundamentals and experience in SOAP, REST web services, using SSL with web services.
. Language: Java, Unix Shell, OS and Servers: Linux, Windows, Apache, Weblogic Web: HTTP, HTTPS, HTML, DOM, DNS Database: Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, Sound knowledge in RDBMS design and implementation.
. Knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies such as OAuth, Single Sign-On (SSO) with experience in SAML.. Knowledge of XML and JSON data formats.
. Excellent communication skills. Strong system/ technical analysis skills.
. Planning, management and execution of projects involving integration Client Systems with SEI’s published web services.
. Propose, implement Web services best practices and tools. Strong leadership skills needed. Ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and strong problem solving abilities.
. Ability to document processes procedures clearly and accurately -- not only within the group to share the knowledge and understanding of our own systems, but also for distribution to both internal and external customers.
. Continually look for opportunities to improve our platform, process and business. Oversee vendor relationships and assess vendor solutions for our product road map.
. Leadership or mentor experience with more junior engineers. Great communication and collaborative.
. Ability to act in a consultative role to gather and understand business needs and goals from senior level executives and to guide the team to build solutions based on that data.
. Ability to make decisions and to thrive in an entrepreneurial, rapidly-changing environment, while maintaining professional composure.
